History of the khanpur dam . خان پور    کس نے خان پور کا نام خان پور رکھا اور کس نے آباد کیا سلطان سید کے بڑے فرزند سلطان فتح خان نے 1571کو اپنے مرشد سید عیسٰی شاہ کے حکم پر گاؤں سید پور(جہاں اس وقت اسلام آباد ہے) سے آ کر اس غیر آباد علاقے کو آباد کیا اور پہاڑی ایریا میں نجف پور کے نام سے نیا گاؤں آباد کیا اور وہاں رہاش پذیر ہوگئے اس کے علاوہ انھوں نے اپنے نام سے منسوب اس جگہ کا نام خان پور رکھا خان پور کا پرانا نام،،تارا منڈل،،ایک ہندو کے نام سے منسوب تھا شروع میں سلطان فتح خان جب مختلف قصبہ جات سے اپنے حالیوں سے زمینوں کا حساب لیتے تو عارضی طور پر خان پور میں قیام کرتے تھے بعد ازاں ان کی نسل سے سلطان حیدر بخش جن کے والد سلطان نجف خان تھے گاوں نجف پور سے باقاعدہ خان پور آ کر رہاش اختیار کی   اور خان پور میں سخی عنایت حسین شاہ صاحب کا روضہ جو اب بھی موجود ہے جو سید عیسٰی شاہ کےقریبی رشتے دار تھے وہ ہے یہ دربار جو خان پور ڈیم بنے  کے باوجود پانی سے اب بھی محفوظ ہے
